Parent Involvement and Volunteer Opportunities
There are many opportunities for parents to stay connected with their child's classroom community. Each parent is required to give 30 hours of service throughout the school year. Some examples of volunteer opportunities include ongoing progress monitoring, party planning, teachers assistant, or one time school events.
In addition to volunteer your time in the school, parents may also purchase items needed in the classroom. Every $4.00 spent is equal to one volunteer hour; for example in a family purchases $8.00 in supplies, that donation would be equivalent to 2 hours. If you choose to purchase items please be sure and turn in receipts to me or the front office to accurately record volunteer hours.
